New Sacred Sun battery options now available in Nepal

Peak Power Solar now supplies three different Sacred Sun battery chemistries in Nepal, giving each project a chemistry matched to its site rather than a one-size-fits-all default.

Industrial gel battery (GFMJ series). This is Sacred Sun’s original, longest-proven industrial line, using GEL-state electrolyte rather than free liquid acid. The gel design prevents leakage and stratification, tolerates a wide temperature range, and has a long service life under the EUROBAT classification — which is why it’s still our default recommendation for telecom, power system, and larger stationary energy storage installations where the bank sits in a fixed location for its whole service life.

Industrial lead-carbon battery (DCS series). The newer addition to the lineup. Lead-carbon batteries blend carbon material into the negative plate, which reduces sulphation and significantly improves charge acceptance in partial-state-of-charge use — exactly the daily charge/discharge pattern a solar-charged battery bank sees. Sacred Sun rates the DCS series for 3,000+ cycles at 70% depth of discharge, well beyond a standard flooded or AGM lead-acid battery, while still using familiar lead-acid installation and maintenance practices.

Lithium battery in rack-mount modules. For sites that want the smallest footprint and lowest weight per kWh, Sacred Sun’s rack-mounted LiFePO4 modules install into standard 19″ racking, with a built-in BMS handling cell balancing, protection, and monitoring over CAN or RS485. Multiple modules wire in parallel (up to 48 units) to scale capacity without the floor space a comparable lead-acid bank would need.
