Peak Power partnered with UNICEF on a solar installation at the Charang Health Post in Upper Mustang. Charang is a remote settlement in the Mustang district, sitting in a high-altitude desert region, and the health post serves the local community along with the international visitors who travel through on the Mustang and Annapurna circuits.
Charang runs the same UNICEF-standardised 18 kW design we’ve deployed across a number of remote health facilities — same architecture, different terrain. The system covers the essentials: lighting and emergency services, basic diagnostic equipment, and the loads that need to stay on whether the local supply is working or not.
